Easter Sunday

We spent Easter Sunday with my parents, brothers, aunt, uncle, and grandma. We had a lovely lunch, and then headed outside to have and easter egg hunt. Carter was the only kid around, so he got all the eggs to himself! My dad made the comment, "Elaina, he needs more competiton..." And my reply was, "Yeah Dad, I'm working on it!" HaHa! 

We got several family pictures, but they're all on my Mom's camera. That means I'll probably never see them! Oh well. Here are a few of Carter anyway....

Carter's 2nd Birthday!

We threw Carter a Planes, Trains, & Automobiles themed birthday party at our house this weekend with all our family and closest play group friends..... complete with a bounce house, grilling, and gifts! I think it's safe to say Carter had a great time, and we had so much fun having everyone over to celebrate our little man! Thanks to all of you who were able to come.... it means a ton!

Playgroup Easter Egg Hunt

Here are some pictures of our Easter Egg Hunt today. The kids were so into it, and very fun to watch!! We also enjoyed some playtime at the park and a picnic lunch! Very fun morning!

Trip to the Lake

It's been a busy week with birthday activities, doctor's appointments, and spending time with friends and family.... so I'm just now getting around to posting these pictures.

Eric took Carter to Little Elm Park last weekend. It's a really great place with a beach, a picnic area, a few playgrounds, and an area where you can feed the ducks! What a perfect place to spend some quality Daddy/Son time! Eric said Carter had an absolute blast! I see several more trips here in the future!

12 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along:

12 weeks!

Size of baby:

Just over 2 inches long, the size of a lime!

Total Weight Gain/Loss:

Still down a few pounds

Maternity Clothes:

Not yet. But I'm wearing my bella band a lot of the time!

Gender:

We'll know in about 7-8 weeks!

Movement:

Been feeling little "bubbly" type movements. Wondering if that's what I think it might be! With Carter, I first felt him (for sure, that I know of) around 14 weeks.

Sleep:

Not too bad. I'm a stomach sleeper, so I'm definitely not as comfortable as I want to be. And soon, no more belly sleeping at all. Oh, how will I manage?

Symptoms:

Lots of headaches still, and still have a sensitive gag reflex. That's no fun. But the fatigue, upset stomach, and food aversions are much better!

What I miss:

Wine!

Cravings:

Haven't really had any that I can think of. I'm sure Eric would tell you differently.

Best Moment this week:

Definitely seeing the baby on the ultrasound yesterday! We know that the baby has all 10 fingers and all 10 toes, a strong, healthy heartbeat, tested negative for downs, and overall, a very healthy and busy baby. S/he was moving around A LOT!

What I am looking forward to:
Feeling the baby move and finding out the gender soon!
