Rolling Over

Carter first started rolling over from his tummy to his back a few weeks ago. He can do it, but he doesn't really know that he can do it, so he doesn't do it all the time yet. The other morning I had him on the floor in his room playing, and he went from his back to his tummy!! I actually got it on video. He started going onto his side, which he's been doing for a while. But when I saw him trying to push all the way over, I grabbed the camera, and this is what I got!! You can hear how proud I am of him, and at first he seems that way, too. Then, he just seems to be worn out from all the hard work! What a big boy. He has done it several times since!

Carter's New Trick

I've noticed the last 4 or 5 days, Carter has really loved rolling over onto his side when he's lying down. Right now, he only goes to his right side. His new thing is rolling over, stuffing his fingers in his mouth, shouting out really loud, and grunting! Watch this!!

Carter's First 4th of July!

Eric was working out of town over the weekend, so I took Carter to my parent's for a few days. On the 4th, my Dad grilled steaks and Mom baked potatoes for lunch. After that, we went to a friend's pool who happened to be out of town. I had gotten Little Swimmers for him, but figured they'd be way too big because they were 16-26 lbs. And I was right... but we made them work. We spent a little bit of time in the pool, then went back for dinner. We didn't go see any fireworks, but Carter slept right through the ones that were being set off right down the street. Man, they were LOUD! It was a good day, but we sure missed our Daddy! Here are a few pictures.

Learning Something New Everyday

Carter enjoyed sitting in his Bumbo and playing with his toys this afternoon. He's figured out how to make the music play, and he looks like he's concentrating very hard!

He's been holding his head up pretty good lately, too. He starts to get mad pretty quick though. Take a look.

And if once wasn't enough... here is another. He was really enjoying sitting in his Bumbo before I turned the camera on, then he got a little tired of holding his head. And who does he cry for? MAMA! What an advanced child we have. Needless to say, Eric is fairly certain that Carter was not saying "Mama." You be the judge. =)
