GO COWBOYS!!

In our house, we were very excited about the start of the Cowboys' new season last weekend. We were even more excited this weekend to be going to the first regular season home game in the new stadium! And I had to get all of us dressed up in our Romo jerseys for some family shots!! Got some good ones. Also, a few of the tailgate before the game, and the game itself. We still had fun, even though they lost. There's always next week!

And we can't forget the return of college football.
Needless to say, we're starting the boy young!!
GO VOLS!

Mmmmm... cereal!

Carter had his first solids last night! We decided to go ahead and give him a little bit of cereal, and he LOVED it!! He got the hang of eating from a spoon really quick. After the second or third bite, he was opening his mouth when he saw the it coming! What a big boy!

Catching up...

I appologize for being a little behind on my blogging. I had so much to do last week to prepare for our trip - clean the house, do all the laundry, pack for myself and for Carter, run errands - you get the idea. Going out of town now is a little more difficult than before! Anyway, now that I'm back, here are a few cute things I've been meaning to post, but haven't gotten around to it.

Mommy and Carter just before leaving for Vegas.
I didn't want to leave my little boy!

Gorgeous blue eyes!

Love to eat his toes!

Watching Sport Center

Having fun with Daddy!

Vegas!

Eric and I got back from our Vegas trip yesterday. We had a great time, but I was really missing my boy, and was so glad to be home with him last night! We stayed at Monte Carlo, but went up and down the strip to see the sights. We gambled some... Eric won maybe $40 at Craps, $25 on Multi-Play Blackjack, a little at Roulette and I won $5 on a $1 slot pull, and another $11 on $1 pull. If only I had put in $100!! Didn't win much, but it was fun! Also, for my birthday Saturday we ate at Delmonico's Steakhouse (Emeril's restaurant in The Venetian) and saw The Blue Man Group, both of which were wonderful! Here are a few pics from our trip!

Sitting Up... Already?!?!

It's true. He's still a little shakey, he does a lot of leaning, and someone has to be ready to catch him, but he can sit up on his own for a minute or two. It won't be long! Here are a few cute pics, and of course, a video.
Sitting up, but clearly not happy about it!
Not minding it so much now...
maybe it's because I'm leaning so far forward!
Checking things out...
This is a new kind of view!!
Such a big boy!!

Pacifiers

Because he is so into grasping toys now, THIS is his latest new thing. It drives me crazy. Just as soon as I get it put in there, POP... out it comes, he gets mad, I put it back in, and repeat. We must do this 100 times a day.

And yes, he is on the couch, watching tv.

Carter Got a New Toy!

Can I just say that the Exersaucer is the best baby invention, and the best investment, yet. I've been wanting to get him on of these for a while now. He is holding his head up so good, and he needs a new form of entertainment other than playing on the floor under his little Jungle Gym. Grandma Cindy came to visit this weekend, and we were out on a mission to get him one. Thank you Target! This was on sale!!

It does a million different things. It bounces, sings songs, lights up, rattles, teaches colors, numbers, and animal noises, and it even has little teether toys attached. If this doesn't provide hours of entertainment for baby, I don't know what will! So far, he LOVES it!!

4 Month Check-Up

We took Carter for his 4 month visit yesterday. He is now 13 pounds, 15 ounces and is 25 3/4 inches long! He's gained just shy of 8 pounds and 6 full inches since birth! Wow! Also, Dr. Nail was impressed with his toy grasping and maneuvering skills! We were given the "go ahead" to start cereal, and gradually move into baby foods. I guess maybe in the next few weeks Carter will have his first "solids." He got a few shots too, but he handled them very well... he cried, but didn't scream his head off like last time! Overall, Dr. Nail gave him an A+. We go back in October for his 6 month visit.
Here is my sweet little man at 4 months.
He's getting cuter by the day!!
