First Sippy Cup Experience

I gave Carter his sippy cup today with just a little bit of water in it, mostly just to see what he would do. He grabbed it right by the handles, and found the spout on it with his mouth, all before I could even get the camera turned on. We'll have to work on the whole 'tilt up to drink' thing. I don't think he cared too much for the water being a little on the chilly side, either. Milestone!

Angel Babies

Yesterday we went to a Babies and Halos Playdate.... basically, dress your sweet angel in all white! Look at all the little angel babies, and how precious they are! We had some much fun!

Arboretum, Part 2

We had so much fun Friday, we made a family day out of it on Sunday!

Autumn at the Arboretum

Today I took Carter to meet some other mommies and babies from our play group at the Dallas Arboretum. We had beautiful weather, and enjoyed our picnic lunch, playing on the blanket, visiting and strolling around. It was gorgeous!

6 month check up

We took Carter for his 6 month check up this morning. I can hardly believe it's been 6 months.... where has the time gone? Anyway, he is now 17 pounds, 5 ounces, and is 26 3/4 inches long. He's growing and gaining at a great pace. He did have to get a few shots, but he did just fine. I'm very thankful he got a flu shot, too. We go back in a month for the second round of that. And, we're going to start eating some fruits and veggies in the next few days, too! That should be fun... watch for an update on that soon.


By all accounts, we have a very healthy and happy baby boy. I feel so blessed to have been given the privilege of being this perfect little creature's mommy, and I am extremely thankful that he is perfectly healthy.

Keyboard Fun

Carter has really gotten into banging on things. When I set him in his high chair, when he plays in his Bumbo, and the other night while we were at dinner at Chili's... all he wants to do is bang on whatever is in front of him!! The keyboard is his newest toy... take a look.

My Little Pumpkin

So I wanted to take Carter to a real Pumpkin Patch, but decided he was just too young. We went to Calloway's Nursery instead and took a bunch of cute Fall pictures.... that's really all I wanted! We can have the whole Pumpkin Patch experience next year. This will do for now!
