Other Cousins

Carter got to play with our nephews this weekend.

Cousins

We were able to spend some time with our cousins this week! Here are a few pictures.

On Friday, Carter and I met my aunts, uncle, and cousins to watch my cousin, Caitlin, play volleyball. Caitlin is a freshman at Louisiana Tech, and they were playing a tournament at UTA this weekend. Here are a couple pictures I snapped of her at the game. Carter had so much fun watching them play, and shouting along with them! Oh, and for some reason there was a reporter there interviewing "young" people on a politics issue. Carter and I may be on WB 33 news tomorrow night (Saturday) at 9:00 in case you're interested as to why! So silly..... if you know me, politics aren't exactly my area of expertise! =)

Little Guy, Big Bed

One of Carter's favorite things to do lately is get up in our bed and play. I usually let him do this while I'm getting ready right there in our bathroom. He just loves being up there.... I think he thinks it's such a big boy thing to do! Here are some of the pictures I snapped of him this morning.

Using a Fork

Carter has gotten really good at using his fork. Check him out.... he says "YAY!" after each time he stabs his food. Now, time to master the spoon!

Losing the Paci

Carter is now on Day 2 of Operation: "Lose the Paci." He is doing well. Carter hasn't been given his paci anytime during the day (other than nap time) since he was about 7 or 8 months old, so his attachment to it is before and during sleepy time. We decided to start small, with naps. He hasn't been given his paci at nap time since Tuesday. It takes him a little longer to fall asleep for his nap, but it's been fine. Last night was his first night without it, and he did much better than I expected. He was a little restless the first hour and a half after he went down, but he did great the rest of the night! Hopefully in few more days, the paci will be just another thing of the past! Bye-bye Passsss!!

Pump It Up Jr.

I took Carter to Pump It Up Jr. yesterday with a few of Carter's playmates. It's basically a bunch of indoor bounce houses that are toddler appropriate. He wasn't too sure about it at first, but ended up really enjoying it! We'll probably make another trip over there again soon!

 He decided to go up the stairs all by himself .....

 ... and would've been content to play up there all day ...

... but he wouldn't come down on his own. He needed a little push from a fellow mama.
