Plano Balloon Festival

We took Carter to see the balloons this weekend!

Giving the fried pickles a try.
Yummmm!
Look!
The skydivers jumped from right above us!
Watching them come down to earth!
Running around munchin' on a corn dog.
He wanted to try it with mustard...
He loved it!
More please!
Such a big boy!
The first balloons to go up!
A few more...
Checking it all out.
Look of concern.... he wasn't too fond of the loud noise when the hot air was blown into the balloon.
Arrrrg!
The balloon in front of us lifted off and started floating our way.... totally freaked Carter out.
Nice from afar, but up close... maybe not!
So many balloons!
Now that's over, let's play in the grass!
Little innocent face. He didn't last much longer after this.
We wanted to stay for the balloon glow, but hopefully we'll make it for that next year!

Football Season at our House

Football season is here again, and Eric couldn't be happier. I do love football season, but the fact that it consumes Saturdays, Sundays, Monday nights, and some other various nights of the week, all, sort of annoys me. Don't get  me wrong, though, I love to cheer on our teams.

Here is a little preview of what it will be like around our house.... pretty much until February.
Lots of cheering.... some dissapointments.... and playing a game of catch before the games come on.

Can't forget the Dallas Cowboy appearal. Yes, we all have a Romo jersey again this season. Go Cowboys!

On a side note, yesterday was my birthday. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who took the time to say Happy Birthday. I spent some quality time with my two favorite boys, Eric spoiled me rotten, had a great dinner with the family last night, and the Rangers swept the Yankees. A Cowboy win would've been nice, and would have definitely put it over the top. Anyway, thanks again. I love you all!

Zoo Day

We took Carter to the zoo for the first time today. He really enjoyed all the animals, and we loved the family time. Looking forward to going back again soon!

First stop of the day... the lemurs. Carter loved these and kept calling them "kitty kitties"
The duck pond had all kinds of ducks, flamingos, and other water birds.
Not sure what this thing was, but we called it a turkey.
This is the "cheeeeese" face I get when he sees the camera
"Bye bye birdies!"
Tiger, also a "kitty kitty"
At the Giants of the Savannah... he absolutely loved everything he saw here.
He learned how to say "giraffe" today!
Cheetah, yet another "kitty kitty"

Playing at the Park

Enjoying the beautiful weather!
Pointing at airplanes... he might be obsessed! =)
One of my favorites of the day... those eyes!

Other Cousins

Carter got to play with our nephews this weekend.
We didn't get too many pictures of them, but I thought these were adorable!

Gavin and Devin wanted to hold Carter's hand on our walk.
Devin and Carter... love this one!

And, because I'm always the one taking the pictures, I don't have too many pictures of me and my little man. So I have to post these, too.

Cousins

We were able to spend some time with our cousins this week! Here are a few pictures.

My cousin Logan's little boy, Hayden, is 2 1/2.
He and Carter had so much fun together!
Something's funny...
Hayden looks so sneaky... too cute not to post!
Aww.....
So sweet. We tried to get Carter to kiss him back, but he wasn't having it.
They were both screaming at the top of their lungs. Love Carter's "question" arms here...

On Friday, Carter and I met my aunts, uncle, and cousins to watch my cousin, Caitlin, play volleyball. Caitlin is a freshman at Louisiana Tech, and they were playing a tournament at UTA this weekend. Here are a couple pictures I snapped of her at the game. Carter had so much fun watching them play, and shouting along with them! Oh, and for some reason there was a reporter there interviewing "young" people on a politics issue. Carter and I may be on WB 33 news tomorrow night (Saturday) at 9:00 in case you're interested as to why! So silly..... if you know me, politics aren't exactly my area of expertise! =)

Caitlin is the tall one (in red) in the middle...
