DPP - Day 8

Carter spent literally like an hour this afternoon just stacking his blocks up as high as he could. And he is a boy, so of course he had to demolish his tower every time. So much fun!

I love this time of year when the leaves are all off the trees and we have a view of the lake from our deck and living room. Makes for some wonderful sunsets, too!

Karen's Wedding in Austin

Just a few more pictures from my cousin's wedding. It was a quick trip to Austin, wish it had been longer, but I loved seeing all the extended Powell family yesterday!

DPP - Day 4

We were in Austin for a wedding this weekend, so I got a couple of days behind.... oops!

DPP - Day 3

Carter's favorite thing to do lately is play with his cars. He loves to play with them in the dining room window sill in the mornings and watch all the cars, trucks, and buses go by!

Getting Ready for Christmas

We spent some time on Sunday getting all our Christmas decor put off. Given that the house is for sale and I didn't want to clutter it up too much, we did very little. Really all we did was put up the tree, hang a couple of wreaths, and did the mantel up with some candles and stockings, of course. Eric also put lights up outside.

Here are a few pictures of Carter "helping" us decorate the tree. He got into some old gold beads I had in the storage boxes, and managed to get himself all tangled up.

I am really excited for Christmas this year for some reason. I always love the holidays, but I guess there is more to look forward to when you have a toddler to shop for and spoil! I can't wait to see him open all his gifts... I know he's going to love what he's getting from Santa! I just don't know where I'm going to put it all!!

Day 1

I took this over Thanksgiving weekend. Simply put, I just love it. I see the carefree attitude of a little boy just figuring out a new way to have fun in an unquestionably gorgeous setting.
This moment, to me, is priceless.
