4th Birthday Party Fun

Saturday morning, Carter's actual birthday, we were joined by our closest friends and family to celebrate our Carter. He had been looking forward to his party at Jump Street for months now, and it was a wonderful day with wonderful people!!

 

Carter started the morning off with some birthday donuts.

Bedtime on April 12th...

Well, we just put our little boy to bed for the last time as a 3 year old! :(

Hard to believe that tomorrow is Carter's 4th birthday. FOURTH?? fourth.  

Wow. Just crazy.
 

We spent tonight at the Rough Rider's game. Carter had a lot of fun. He even got a game ball! And there were fireworks after the game that we all enjoyed. As he watched them he told his Daddy, "This is the best present ever!" Seriously adorable.

 

We have a fun little party planned for him and his best little buddies tomorrow, and he went to bed tonight so very excited to wake up for all the birthday fun we have planned. We've been counting down the days all week long!

Carter, we love you more than you can even try to understand. You have brought so much joy to so many of us over the last 4 years! Happy Birthday, my little love! Can't wait for your special day tomorrow!!  

Feeding the Ducks

We have a pond nearby our neighborhood, and we have been taking family bike rides down to feed the ducks after dinner. It's become an almost nightly thing... these ducks wait on us and come running out of the water when they see us approaching on the bikes! I guess we're just as predictable as they are. :)  Also, Carter has been really big into skipping rocks with Eric lately. It's a tough skill for an almost 4 year old to master, but he's come pretty close to skipping one a few different times. He'll get it soon enough!

These 3 ducks are the most aggressive.... especially the white one! He's kind of mean!

One night after we had visited the ducks, Carter was saying his bedtime prayer, and he prayed to God to "please help the white duck learn to be nicer." Hilarious!!

Ella loved having the ducks walk up close to her until one night recently when she was holding a piece of bread in her hand and the duck pecked her little fingers. She cried. And has been terrified of them coming too close ever since! :)
