Cole's 2 month check up

Cole went for his 2 month well check up on Monday. Bad news is he did have to get vaccinations, 2 shots in his little thighs. It never gets easier watching them through that. He had a rough 24 hours after, but is feeling much better now! Good news is that he is now 11 pounds, 12 ounces, and 23.3 inches long! He's gained almost 5 pounds since birth, and 3 pounds and almost 2 full inches just in the last month! He's almost outgrown his 0-3 months clothes, too! He is my biggest baby at two months - Carter was just 10 pounds, 6 ounces and Ella was 11 pounds, 6 ounces. He's smiling, cooing, and sometimes giggling if you catch him at the right time. He definitely knows his Mommy and Daddy, and I think is recognizing Carter and Ella too, giving them smiles occasionally now. He is consistently sleeping 9p-5a, and has been for about 2-3 weeks. Sometimes he'll even go down earlier around 8pm, or sleep longer til 6am, but 9p-5a is his minimum, and we're loving all getting to sleep through the night again! He's definitely his happiest in the mornings, and is not a fan of his car seat for longer than about 30 minutes at a time. He loves to lay and kick on his play mat and he loves swinging. He usually gets two long naps per day, and catches a few cat naps in between. He's a pretty easy going, go-with-the-flow baby, which is great because he has to be! It's hard to remember life without him at this point! The past two months have flown, but at the same time it feels like he's been with us forever. We're so thankful another perfect and healthy child!

Passed out when we got home..... this is the start of a 3 hour nap! Rough life being 2 months and getting shots. :(

Thanksgiving 2014

On Friday before school got out, Carter's school held a Thanksgiving feast for all the kindergarteners, and Eric, Ella, Cole and I joined him. They sang a few cute little songs for the parents first and then enjoyed a wonderful meal with their classmates and families. Here are a couple of pictures.

Ella wasn't thrilled to have been woken up from her nap to go, but Carter shared his food with her (sweet boy!) so that made it a little better. :)

We spent Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, at John and Cindy's house. This was Cole first trip there, and he was pretty happy about it!! :)
Carter and Eric getting in the way in the kitchen.... they were ready for lunch!
Still cute though.
Showing off all her pecans that she had picked up.
They had way too much fun playing in the leaves!

Pretty sure Ella was doing a happy dance
Patiently waiting for Daddy to get that pile just perfect.
Ready, set, go!

What could he possibly be pouting about?!

Silly kiddos. Can't wait for Cole to get out there with them!
Grandpa got the blower on them.

Kids' table!
Cole was watching the Cowboys play
Enjoying the fire
Staying warm!

Friday morning the kids went for a hike. It was WINDY!!

HA! Carter....

Love all these pictures of the 2 of them, but can't help but feel kinda sad that Cole's missing. I know there are many years ahead of us that the 3 of them will do these fun things all together, and I definitely don't want to rush him growing up. But it's funny how he's only been with us 2 months, and yet things feel so incomplete if he's not included. Love that little sweet baby so much. :)
All so tired on the way home from Grandma and Grandpa's! Sign of a busy and fun Thanksgiving!
HA! Possibly rubbing it in that she's the only one awake! :)

We have so much to be Thankful for always, but especially this year! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your friends and family!

Happy Sounds from Cole

I just love the stage when your baby starts making all these sweet little noises. Warms my heart to hear his little voice! We've figured out that Cole loves a good foot rub! Here he is one evening enjoying one courtesy of Mommy..... sooooo close to giggling!! Love it!
