Iced In

We are on Day 2 of being at home because of the ice. It really hasn't been too bad. The kids have done a little of everything: movies, coloring, drawing, painting, playing together, playing on their own in their rooms, yes, some fighting, too. And they did make it outside yesterday for about 20 minutes or so. Didn't last long, they were cold! Here are some pictures of us all out in it.:)

"Skating"
 Handsome boys
Ella always making a silly face.
 Cuties

 Just having fun.
Cole's first time out in ice or snow!
Had to laugh at the way I bundled Cole up. He's in the baby carrier strapped to me under my outer layer. Except for his little nose, I think he was pretty warm! I bought this white coat when I was 6 months pregnant with Carter.... the extra space worked pretty well for me to stuff a baby in there with me once again! HA!

Gotta love the laundry basket sleds!

Fun times, but I think we're going to stay inside today! And hoping for school tomorrow, too! :)

Valentine's Day 2015

Had some cute and fun pictures to post from Valentine's Day! We had a fun family day! Nothing special, just spending time with each other, and it was a good one.

Ella and I one our way to Carter's class party on Friday. Love her!
Cutie! (with chocolate sauce on his face...)
 They had ice cream sundaes,
and played a few cute games.
And we got a sweet handwritten Valentine.... so special.

On Saturday, actual V-day, I caught the big kids in a sweet moment, Carter reading Ella some books in his bed. I think this was the Star Wars Character Encyclopedia. Exciting stuff!!
 Love these two lovies!
Cutie pie's first Valentine's Day!!
Fun on our family walk.... it was a beautiful day!
Feeding the ducks (and seagulls.... ha!)
Sweet and sassy girl....

Our traditional V-day heart shaped pizza!
Also a V-day tradition, chocolate fondue! Yum!
Eric getting it all set up....
 Tasty!

Oh, next year he will be all over the V-day chocolate fondue, I'm sure!!
 Love my 3 babies!
And all 4 of my Valentines lovin' on each other.
 Happy!

Their First Daddy/Daughter Dance

Today was a very special day for Eric and Ella.... they went to their first Daddy/Daughter dance. Ella's been looking forward to it for a while, and er excitement was contagious!

This morning I did a hair trial run, after painting her nails. :)
All ready, and practicing posing for pictures!

Showing me her heels... one of her favorite things about this day!
Another favorite thing would be twirling in this dress. So magical!
When she tried on the dress last week, her eyes just lit up when she saw it, and when she figured out it was fluffy enough to do a really great spin when she turned! Loved watching her in it. :)

Formal pictures before heading out.
Proud Daddy!
Love this beautiful girl so very much!
  Giving it a twirl

 Sweet smile
She would not stop spinning back and forth in this thing! Hence the blurry pics..... but I love it!

Gorgeous girl!! That hair!! Let's just all take a moment and truly admire it, and be jealous. :)
 A girl and her daddy.
A few cell phone shots from the dance.
 Snow cone!
 Pretty as ever!

And a cool video compilation put together by Google+

While they were away at the dance, I took the boys to a birthday party. We came home with some fun party favors to play with. Ella would NOT take off her dress and heels, and I thought this was adorable!!

Love!! I wish my hair looked that good while running around non stop!
 :)

It was a super day for both of them. I wish I could have joined them and watched it all, or at least have been a fly on the wall. But I know they both had a great time. Ella said she wanted to go to a dance with Daddy every day! HA! Don't know about that, but I think making it an every year thing is a must!! I'm sure she's already looking forward to it in 2016!!
