Perfect Weekend for Camping

Eric took the kids camping at The Beckman's on Saturday while Cole and I stayed back at home. The weather was perfect for them, and I know everyone had a great time. Sad we missed out, but it just made more sense that way this time :) Here are some pictures!

He got an awesome new water gun for his birthday that he had fun with
I think she wants to go for a ride in the Mule
Trying to shoot water at Dad?!
Ready to walk down and fish!
 Fishing in the grass?!
The pier was under water due to all the rain that fell just the day before. Crazy... I have never seen it like that! But, made for some fun fishing off the pier!

 Proud of the tent!
Looks like he's walking on water!
 Fun on the mule ride
Taking a late afternoon break in Dad's car. Think he might be tired?
 Ella and her Grandad
 Handsome guy having fun!
 Got one!
Looks so odd him standing in the middle of the lake like that!
 More fishin!
 Late night smores
They were sooooo tired and actually asked to go to bed around 9:30! They slept in the tent all night with Eric, and were up at the crack of dawn, of course!

Ella goofing around and Carter photo bombing, I guess.
Pretty girl. Her obsession with birds lately was no doubt fueled by this little nest with tiny eggs inside. :) So cool!
And some videos....

Texas Day at Ella's School

Here are some pictures from Texas Day at Ella's school. Of course, we had to get dressed up like a cowgirl for the occasion. I scrambled to get my hands on some boots for Ella to wear about 45 minutes before she had to go to school. Thanks to some sweet neighbor friends, we ended up with a pink pair that were adorable, and they just about made Ella's whole day! She loved them!

I can't handle how cute she is!
The class started at the petting zoo. Ella was okay with it at first....
Check out these piglets. Only 5 days old! How adorable!
I cannot handle how cute they are!! They were running around all over, and all the commotion made Ella a little nervous.
 Can you tell? :)

Ms. Rachel got a piglet that Ella eventually did pet. But it took some convincing!
And she pet one of the baby bunnies too, reluctantly.

The calf...... (and Cole snoozing in the stroller in the background!)

Ella was glad to leave the petting zoo area with her class..... we had a couple of run-ins with goats that caused lots of anxiety for her, ha! She screamed and cried out a few times when they got too close or baa-ed near her. She told me several times, "This makes me nervous! I want to leave!" I had to laugh!
Moving over to the pony ride area, and she's still recovering from the slight trama of the petting zoo. Not really excited to be here.
And it was kinda cold. :/ She and her sweet little friends look so cute, though!
Not having the pony ride! Oh my word!! We did have the pony walk around in a big circle, but she was happy to get off of him!
After watching her friends pose for a picture, she put a smile on long enough to get a cute shot! Thankfully. :)
Ella and her sweet little friend Ashlynn

Their little class played a few Cowboy themed games after all the fun with the animals.

Started with a bean bag toss...

....and then a relay, getting dressed like a cowboy!

....and a pony race! So cute!

A little more playtime before the festivities were over.

It was a fun morning with the kids, and I was glad to be able to go and watch all the fun!
