Everything He Does Is Cute to Me

I caught him snoring while he was asleep in his carseat just after we got home today. Listen carefully.....

Thumbsucker

I've been surprised by how much this child likes to suck his fingers, fists, and thumb. It's so cute! He hasn't mastered the art of getting it in there right just yet, but he does sometimes on accident. I got this quick video the other day just before he lost it. Enjoy!

Playdate with the Cousins

Eric's sister, Beth, and her boys, Gavin & Devin, came for a visit this weekend. We (and by "we" I mean, Beth, Grandma Cindy, and I - Eric did NOT participate) had a lot of fun dressing the boys up and having a little photo shoot in my living room! The twins are at a fun age. They're almost 15 months, and soooo funny! I'm not sure they knew what to think of Carter. We had a great visit.... can't wait to do it again! Anyway, here are a few good shots of them.
Beth bought Carter an outfit to match the boys. I love this picture of the three of them!
We had fun trying to make them laugh! Carter even gave a tiny little grin.
Aren't they the cutest?
Here is Grandma with her three grandsons. She got them all matching onsies that say "My Grandma ♥'s Me." Look how proud she is!
Adorable.

Carter's One Month Check-Up

Carter went to see Dr. Nail today. He now weighs 7 pounds, 10 ounces, and is 21 3/4 inches long! He is in the 80th percentile for his length, and the 5th percentile for his weight! I have one long, skinny little guy, that's for sure. He also got his second HepB shot. Man, he did NOT like that. I have never seen him cry like that before. It was very sad... but he got over it in about 60 seconds. Dr. Nail gave him another A+ on his physical, and said he's developing wonderfully! He doesn't have to go back until he's 2 months old, and that's when they really pump a lot of shots into him. So much so that I have to give him baby Tylenol before he goes in. Poor baby. Anyway, all good news to report today!!

Picture Day!

We took Carter to have his 4 week pictures taken today. I can't believe he's already a month old! Where does the time go? Anyway, here are a few of the shots. He was very cooperative, easy to pose, and even gave us a little bit of a grin! So far, I think he's quite photogenic!

Sleepy Boy

Man, this kid is so laid back! I wish I could be that relaxed all the time. It cracks me up, too, how I find him sleeping. He will sleep pretty much anywhere, with any amount of noise, and in any position. Nothing seems to bother him when he's passed out! Here are a few cute shots of him lately.
He loves his swing!! If the music this thing plays is any indication of the future intellect of my child, then we're going to have one smart boy!! It's hilarious...
(Try not to get dizzy watching this!)

My First Mother's Day

It's still kind of hard to believe that I am actually a mother, and it felt a little weird that I was included in the holiday this year. On Sunday, Eric, Carter and I just hung out at the house the first part of the day. Later on, we went to my parent's for a little while. Then, we all met my brother and his girlfriend Erin, my grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousin, and my other grandma for dinner at an Italian place in Lewisville. It was a great dinner. Eric got me a spa gift certificate that I can't wait to use!! The only regret I have is that I didn't get a picture of my son and I on my first Mom's Day. Oh well. It was a great first Mother's Day!

Finally... the Kid Can Take a Bottle!!

I have been looking forward to this day for a while. Not only because Dad wants a crack at feeding Carter, but because it gives me a little more freedom! I'm excited because this means I can leave the house for more than 2 hours at a time!! Eric gave him his first bottle on Saturday, and it went really well. I think Eric enjoyed being able to feed him for once, too!

A Visit to Granny Mary's

Today I took Carter to visit his Great Granny Mary. He was a very good boy, and spent a lot of good, quality time with Granny. I know she was just tickled pink, too! What a great day! Here are a few good shots. And check out the video at the bottom, too!
Here he is in action!!

Carter and Olivia Finally Meet!!

Well, Carter is a little over 3 weeks old, and we are just now getting around to visiting our new friend Olivia. Olivia is the daughter of one of my good friends, Stasha, and she was born the day after Carter was. Eric and I took Carter over to David and Stasha's on Thursday night, and had a really nice visit with them.Olivia is so sweet and so cute! I think Carter might have his first girlfriend....

Great friends, cute babies!
Love this one... Olivia slept most of the time.... So sweet......
