I spent some time yesterday catching up on my DVR shows that I missed while we were out of town. While I was watching So You Think You Can Dance, Carter did this. So cute!!

Dad's T-shirt

Eric put his huge t-shirt on Carter yesterday. Carter thought he was such a big shot, and Eric and I had some good laughs.

Underwater

Last week, Carter and I went to his last swimming lesson. Coach Stephanie took an underwater picture of us, and I wanted to share.

Even though Carter loves the water, he started out a little unsure about the lessons and Coach Stephanie. But he ended up really loving it and learning so much. We will definitely be going back next summer for more! If anyone is interested in a Frisco swim coach.... Stephanie Cusack was great! I'd recommend her to anyone!

Trip to D.C.

Eric and I just got back from a long weekend in the D.C. area.  Eric's best friend Travis and his wife Amanda live in Maryland. Travis works in D.C. and knows his way around well, so we did a lot of sightseeing with him on Friday and Saturday.

Washington National Cathedral
Incredibly huge and beautiful
Amazing!
View of the White House from the south
The Department of the Treasury
Alexander Hamilton
Hamilton and the Washington Monument behind us
North side of the White House
The Reflecting Pool, the Washington Monument, and the Capitol behind it
Tons of people at the Lincoln Memorial
Abe
WWII Memorial
Jefferson Memorial
Iwo Jima Memorial
Changing of the Guards at the Tomb of the Unknow Soldier
Tomb of the Unknowns
Arlington National Cemetery
JFK burial site
Saturday was Travis' birthday, so we went to a Nationals Game.
Great win with a walk off home run!!
Really nice ballpark
Me, Amanda, and Travis enjoying the game

Amanda is due with their first daughter this week. She was such a good sport about having company right before her due date, and she tagged along as much as possible with us on Saturday! We had such a great time!! Thanks for having us you guys!

Dizzy

Why does every kid think it's fun to make themselves dizzy?!

(Listen for Carter's word 'o the week at the end when he points to the electronics under the TV. I'm thrilled that he's using this all the time now..... not really!)

HATS!

Carter hasn't ever been one to keep a hat on his head for ANY amount of time. Earlier this week Carter and I were shopping at TJ Maxx for some Ranger's gear for Eric when I ran across the CUTEST little Ranger's ball cap in a toddler size. When I showed it to him, he immediately grinned really big and said "Haaa." I put it on his head with little hope that he would actually keep it on, but to my surprise, he did! He wore it around the whole time while we continued to shop. So of course I had to get it for him..... it was only $6 bucks! Anyway, since then he has developed a love for wearing his hats around the house. He seriously looks so grown up!

Brand new hat.... tags are still on!
Daddy wanted him to wear his Tennessee hat
Go Vols!

Little stud with his hat on backwards!

Mom, Mommy, Mama, Ma

This clip is from an episode of Family Guy, and I've always thought was just hilarious.

When Carter was doing this in the car yesterday, I couldn't help but laugh! LOVE hearing this little guy call for me though, even if it is repetitive! =)

15 Month Check Up

Carter got yet another A+ from Dr. Nail today! He now weighs 24lb 2oz and is 32.3 inches long! That the 50th percentile for weight and the 90th percentile for height. Carter has consistently been in the 80-90% for his height, and Dr. Nail said he will likely be over 6 feet tall. It's so neat to know that now when he's so young! He fought the physical exam and hated the shots, but that's to be expected! So everything went really well. We go back again at 18 months!
