Carter had a great birthday. He definitely knew it was a special day! He sang himself the Happy Birthday Song about 100 times, and every time I'd ask him, "What are we going to do today?" He'd answer, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Very cute.
We started the morning by stopping at the donut shop and grabbing yummy donuts for breakfast. Then we were off to the park where we met my mom, Nana. We actually bumped into a play group friend there, so Carter got to play with Graham a lot that morning! We ran a few errands, then went to lunch with Nana, my brother Matt, and his girlfriend, Nina. Carter had one of his favorites, a taco, rice, beans, and a sopapilla for his birthday lunch! Then it was home for nap. This little guy was wiped out!!
Eric came home early from work, so Carter and Eric got some playtime in before we left for Gatti Town. Carter had another favorite, pizza, for dinner and got to watch Tangled in the movie room while he ate. After dinner we played a few games before heading home. I know he had a great birthday, and we're looking forward to his birthday party next weekend!
Silly Family Photo!
This morning we took him for his 2 year well check up with Dr. Nail. He did pretty good. He was upset because I'm sure he remembered the place, and was less than thrilled to be there. But he handled it okay. He cried through Dr. Nail's exam, but he cooperated. We didn't have to force him down, or hold him like we have in the past. So that was definitely an improvement. He got an A+ on his physical, and an A+ on his developmental skills. He now weighs 28lbs 6 oz, and is 35 1/2 inches tall. Dr. Nail estimated Carter will be built similar to his Daddy.... about 6 feet tall with an average build. Sounds good to me! He got a hemoglobin check - it was 12.5, and anything over 11.2 his considered normal. So that was great! And he also got his Hepatitis 2 shot today. We don't have to go back for another well check up until he is 3! Wow!!
