Happy 3rd Birthday, Ella! --Family Celebration

We celebrated Ella's 3rd birthday this weekend! The 5 of us, all of Ella's grandparents, and her Uncle Andrew got together for yummy brunch at Mattito's, and then gifts and cake at our house after.

Look at these 3 perfect little faces!
Somehow, this is our first picture as a full family of 5. Only took 2+ weeks!
These kids are always requesting silly face pictures.
 Precious birthday girl.

 Can't believe she's 3!!
 Time for gifts!
Carter got her a Frozen castle play set. She was thrilled with it!

She got a bunch of fun, new dress up clothes from Nana and Grandad with a dress up trunk.

 Cute turtle from Uncle Andrew
Excited about her very own pink scooter from Grandma and Grandpa!

Star Wars action figures are serious business.
 Time for cake!
Love Carter standing right next to her, looking so proud!
 Perfect shot!

Needing a little help from Carter......

 ...almost!
Got 'em!
 Love my girl!

Ella, you add so much joy to our family. You make us laugh each and every day. You're such a great big sister, and you're becoming such a big girl. We can hardly believe you're 3.... But you'll always be our one and only baby girl. Love you so, so much!! Happy birthday to you, sweet girl!

Carter's First Cowboys Game

Eric's parents invited Eric and Carter to join them at the Cowboy's game this weekend. And it would be a first for Carter! He's been to the stadium once before for a college basketball game as a baby, and then again when we toured it with him for fun a few years ago, but never to see the Cowboys play. Both Eric and Carter were excited to go! And it was a great game to be at since the Cowboys pulled off a great win! Sounds like they all had a great time! Here are a few pictures.

 Yummmmm, giant pretzel.

I stayed home with Ella and Cole. Ella played in her new tent all day....

.....and Cole slept almost the entire day!!

My parents came over for a few hours to spend time with the kids and fixed us a delicious lunch. Speaking of meals, we've been blessed with so many wonderful meals from neighbors and the ladies in my MOPS group. I think we have only cooked one time since Cole's been home. We're very lucky to have lots of wonderful friends and family that have been taking great care of us, so I just want to say Thank you! And with two more weeks of that kind of treatment to come, we're going to missing it when it's gone!

Carter's School Boosterthon

Carter's school fall fundraiser was last week, and I wanted to post a few pictures from it. Each student took pledges for laps they would run. They set up a fun little race track in the field next to the school to do their fun run. Eric was able to volunteer and be there to watch while I took Ella to school. Sounds like it was crazy and hectic but also lots of fun for the kids. Carter was all smiles the whole time, and had lots of things to tell me about it at the end of the day. He ended up running all 35 laps (the max they could run, which ended up to be just over two miles), and then did one extra victory lap with Eric. They had a good time!!

Getting ready to run!

Hanging with some friends before the start.
 Carter's class
 Silly faces!

We really love Carter's school and how involved all the families are there. It's so nice to walk out of the garage in the mornings and immediately be met with tons of kids and parents that are walking to school along with us. It just feels so family oriented all the time, and I love that Carter will get to grow up in a school environment and neighborhood like that!
