Halloween 2014

We went with a Star Wars theme this year for Halloween, and it was pretty darn adorable if you ask me. I'm not sure we'll ever be able to coordinate all 3 kids' costumes again, since it's not likely they'll ever agree on anything, so it was fun to get to do it this once. And it might go down in history as my favorite Halloween costumes of theirs, ever!

Cutest little Yoda there ever was!
Thanks to my sweet and talented friend Nikki who knit this adorable Yoda hat for her son and was kind enough to let us borrow it. So perfect for the occasion!

Our little Princess Leia

And the handsome Luke Skywalker

The cutest trio ever!
Yoda is meditating! ;)

Excited to be heading out!
Ella was eager to meet up with our friends and get started!
A few of our neighborhood friends, had to get a picture of my 2 with Evie, who was Darth Vader!
And I love how Kaylee is all cozied up to Carter!
Love their candy chute set up each year!!
 Zombie on stilts! Crazy!
The kids checking out some of the awesome Halloween decorations!

Fun night with friends! We all enjoyed ourselves, and the kids were pooped when they finally went to bed. Maybe we can talk the kids into dressing up together next year, it made it so much fun!

Cole's 1 month Check up

We took Cole yesterday morning for his 1 month visit. He's now 8 pounds, 13 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long. He's gained 1.2 pounds and 1 inch in the last 2 weeks! Growing good, but I kinda wish he would stop! :( Anyway, he's staying awake a little more these days, sleeping in 5-6 hour stretches at night, and has pretty good head control! Still rolling from tummy to back occasionally, too. We've gotten a few smiles, and he's definitely trying to do more of that, as well as coo-ing a little. He had to get a shot today, and that was pretty heartbreaking. Hate that red-faced, pitiful pouty cry! Anyway, we'll be back in a month for another visit!

Carter's First Field Trip

Carter went on his first field trip to the pumpkin patch today with kindergarten. This is the pumpkin patch at our church, so he's been here before, but this time he got to have a science, social studies and math lesson, along with craft time, story time, and a fun hayride with friends! I was able to join them for most of the morning (Cole, too... he slept on my chest the entire time!), and I just loved seeing Carter in a classroom environment.

Science lesson.
Will a pumpkin float? Why or why not? What else floats?

Searching for "p" words in the hay maze
 Carter found the word "play"
Carter and his little buddy (and our neighbor), Jackson picnicing
Carter's entire class
During the math lesson, the kids got to pair up and weigh pumpkins on a scale!

All the kids had a great day. Carter said his favorite part was "riding on the school bus! ....well actually, all of it!" He was very excited to ride on a real school bus for the first time, though! I enjoyed getting to know some of the kids in his class that he's always talking about. :) Thanks to my Mom for staying with Ella so I could go and enjoy! Fun day!!

Ella's Park Party

We had a little park playdate today with some of Ella's little friends to celebrate her birthday. My mom made a Queen Elsa dress cake out of cupcakes that everyone loved, especially the birthday girl, and the kids enjoyed a couple of hours of playtime in the wonderful weather!

My pretty little 3 year old!
 Love that face
Ella and some of her friends

Ella enjoyed her time with her friends.... thanks so much for coming, guys!!

Family Pumpkin Patch Trip - Cole's First!

We finally made it to the church's pumpkin patch last night! The kids had fun running around, bouncing in the bounce houses, playing in the hay maze, and picking pumpkins. Of course, I had to dress them in their festive Halloween shirts, and Cole in his cute pumpkin outfit! Fun family night!

Looks like we're going really fast! We definitely weren't. :)
Cole was very relaxed most of the evening, but especially on the hayride in Daddy's arms. He definitely seemed to enjoy being outside in the fresh air. Luckily, the weather was perfect... great temps and hardly any wind!

Brother snuggles and sad sister.... she wanted to hold Cole.

Love these 3 kiddos so much!
