After two days at home, Carter was back to school on Wednesday. I dropped him off, and it started snowing pretty much just as I got back home. I felt bad that he was missing out on it, and hoped he was able to see it out his classroom window. Ella and Cole got out in it a little bit, enough to take some pictures!!
Watching the snow fall, about 8am.
She was in awe.
After I put Cole down for a nap, we went out front to play a little and take pictures.
Why is it second nature to stick your tongue out in the snow?! HA!
Pretty snow bunny!
Love this genuine excitement!!
She LOVED watching her footprints form!
The footprints were her favorite part, for sure. Back and forth!!
Cole woke up, so we went in for a little bit, got him bundled, then came back out so he could see his first official snow!!
Look at these big grins!!
When we came back out with Cole, we could hear lots of loud kiddos down in the direction of the school. It was about 9:30 by this time, which is Carter's recess time. I was hoping the teachers would be able to take them out in it for a little bit, and I figured that was what was happening. Made me glad to know my biggest guy was getting to enjoy the snow after all, if even for just a little while!
Later that day, I received this picture from his teacher. How cute is that?!
And how awesome are the teachers/staff at the school to let that happen?! It would have been so much easier for them to say, "No, too cold and too wet"... but they didn't! And I'm so glad, because I was able to walk to get Carter that afternoon, and all the snow was already gone!
Well, that wasn't the end of it. It started snowing Friday morning around 9am, and I'm not really sure when it officially stopped. Hours upon hours of snowfall. Probably 3-4inches here at our house. Carter came home from school ready and excited to play in it this time!
Home and ready to check it all out.
Measuring how deep
Awesome snow pile at the bottom of the slide.
Ella came out and was ready to make a snow angel. Sorta.
And they had to toss around some snowballs.
He said, "Mommy, do I have snow on my nose?" Cutie.
And this would be the second day this week that Carter's class got to play in the snow!! Just for a few minutes he said, but still! And I love that his teacher took the time to take pictures and send them.
That would be Carter, blue jacket in the back, flat on the ground.... ha!
And Carter is in the blue jacket, grey pants in the middle, running.
Look how much fun they're all having!! Snowball fight!
I'm sure the snow isn't going anywhere at least for a couple of days.... we'll see!!
