Carter's 2nd Baseball season with the Orioles

Earlier this month, we wrapped up another season with Carter's baseball team. They only played about half of their games this season due to all the rain. Even with limited play time, the team really got the hang of hitting and making plays this year. It was so fun to watch them, we wish they had been able to play more.

A few quick pictures before heading out to game #1
Cole did get changed out of his PJs for the game, just not in time for pictures. HA! ;)
Carter playing catcher. Or, really just just wearing the gear
 First at bat

 Playing 2nd base

Here is one of Carter's hits.... the only one I was able to catch on video this season.
After their last game, they had a pizza party complete with cupcakes and trophies.
Here he is receiving his trophy from Coach Brian
 Proud of you, bud!
Ella enjoyed her time with the team, and made friends with all the players' sisters this year! There was a cute little gang of cheerleaders at every game! :)
And Cole was always a trooper for the games this year, as always! Future Oriole here?!

The boys got a little wild near the end of the party and group hugged/dog piled Carter right here next to me. Pretty sure Cole thought all those loud and silly boys were crazy!

Cheers to another awesome season with a great team! We've loved getting to know these boys and their families the last 2 years, and hope to play again with them in the seasons to come!

Summertime pics - Week 2

Week 2 is in the books for us! First week with Carter home all day! We finished Ella's swim lessons up this week and spent a lot of time in the pool.

Cole taking his morning nap at swim lessons. Sweet boy!
He woke up and was happy to have Carter there to entertain him.
Monday was especially hard for him because we had well check up appointment for Carter, straight to swim lessons for Ella, and then straight to gymnastics. He was soooo happy to get out and crawl around!!
Silly girl!

They have done their share of arguing so far, but I'm happy to say that the first week with everyone home went great! Carter plays so well independently, and he has really encouraged Ella to do the same. And they've even played together nicely a lot too! Hope it lasts!!
Lots of pool time! Tuesday we made it into THREE different pools. (Swim lesson pool, friends pool right after, and the our pool in the evening). Definitely a new record for us.
Ella made a new friend, and the promptly jacked her dolphin float!
Trying on his new life jacket for our lake trip!
Hiiii! (And Ella photo bombing with a little pout).
 Love their snuggles
Selfie with my boys at swim lessons! Look at Cole smiling! He knows what to do!!

Some indoor playtime on the bounce houses! Fun for everyone!

Love after dinner swims where you don't even have to mess with sunscreen! Also, Ella lets Eric toss her in the air now!! She has made great improvements this summer! Starting out, putting her face in was her biggest struggle, but she now happily does that, and we're very proud! She does great swimming without her float, but will still be wearing it this summer due to the whole '3 kids at the pool alone' thing. Kinda necessary at this point!

Cole loves to explore the sidelines too!
All the swimming this week has left this girl TIRED! On Friday, she took a nap at 10:30am because she was in dire need based on her behavior and attitude. :/
Carter loves art, so I took him to Hobby Lobby to pick out some different activities. He spent a nice, quiet hour or more painting this masterpiece!
So handsome with a fresh new haircut, too! And that tan :)
We went to a friend's Lego party on Saturday, and the kids had fun building this fun motorized spinny thing to color on!

Sunday was just an easy day at home! Carter starts VBC tomorrow!

Summertime pics - Week 1

With lots of fun activities already on our summer calendar, it's going to be a busy one, for sure! I'm going to try to keep up with picture posting by doing it weekly again this year. The week of June 1st was Ella's first week of summer, and Carter's last week of school. So not our "official" first week of summer, but close enough to include!

My cute boys
Cole and Grace are all smiles while their big sisters play!
 How cute are they?!
 Ella enjoying a creamsicle. Mmmmm
On the walk back from Carter's school one morning, Ella claimed her "legs were tired." I was pushing the single stroller and definitely wasn't going to carry her, so I told her to sit in the bottom basket, and that worked perfectly! It made me giggle, but she loved the ride.
Cole enjoying the swings while Ella played with a friend at the park. He's the best little tag-along!

Cole's mobility is definitely not lacking! He pulls up on everything, walks along the sides of things while holding on with sometimes only one arm, and he's started to attempt to climb things. He keeps us all on our toes, and I'm glad to have 2 extra pairs of eyes home this summer to help keep him in line... HA! Here is was trying to climb over the arm of the sofa to reach a remote!
 Pool baby!
Cole's love for Stormie grows by the day. This morning in particular he was fascinated with her, and Carter and I kept repeating "dog, dog".... and then Cole mimics "da." I'd venture to say he was definitely repeating and associating the word with her. Carter was so impressed and so proud.... he almost couldn't believe it.

Cruising through Target after swim lessons one day. Notice Cole in the bottom of the basket. I had to put him there because he kept turning around and STANDING UP in the top seat part, all WHILE he was buckled in! What a little escape artist he is right now!
New hat, swim diapers, and pool toys for this cute little swimmer baby. Getting prepared for a great summer!
Ella loves wearing long dresses almost exclusively for the fact that when she walks down the stairs in them, they drag. Like the train on a Elsa's dress. I think it's adorable that she is so obsessed with that. It's hilarious to watch her walk down the stairs with her dress dragging, and dramatically pretend that she is royalty entering a room. She has quite the imagination!!

This is going to be his summer time lunch spot! Looks pretty perfect to me!
On Carter's last day of school, we squeezed in a quiet swim with Ella's little friend Eden. Glad these two got some pool time in before the masses hit the pool this summer. Not that that will deter them, they're both water babies, and LOVE to be around all the big kids!!

Our neighborhood had it's summer kick off pool party and cook out last weekend. What fun everyone had swimming, bouncing on the bounce house, and enjoying hot dogs and snow cones. I love that all these great kiddos get to socialize outside of school at fun events like this!

Cole was a chick magnet for all the little girls.
 Fun!
 Loving it!

Carter's friend, Eme (Eden's big sis), was smitten by Cole, and he loved her too! Peekaboo for the win!
Cole now thinks he needs in on whatever the big kids are doing. So he helped himself to some markers.

Attempting to push the walker... won't be long! He's so close!

Another lunch in the stroller at the pool, and string cheese on his lip. Yes, this happens a lot when you wolf down your food!!
He loves to stick his tongue out lately. Pretty adorable.
The kids played in the sprinkler and with water balloons one day with Eric while I ran errands.
Cole didn't miss any of the action

Haha! He does not know what to think of this weird, disappearing squishy thing!

More fun to come this week! :)
