Summertime: Weeks 3-6

I've fallen behind on my weekly summer posts, as I figured I would! We went on vacation, and then I got overwhelmed with all the pictures and just checked out for a few weeks, but now I'm back with lots of pictures to share!

The week before our trip, I took the kids to Eric's office for lunch. Cane's chicken and playing around the big, empty conference room... fun!
Cole loves to sneak off into the office and play with his little house
Our first trip out to the ice cream truck this summer!
A bunny for Ella and a Ninja Turtle for Carter
Oh gosh, she's a mess!
He enjoyed pulling out the wipes!
Ha! Cutie!
Early morning playtime.
Ella and I had fun painting our nails for vacation!

Love.

After we got back from our trip, Eric and I each split time with the big kids. He stayed home with Ella and Cole while I took Carter to see a movie and sent me this sweet picture. She's such a sweet big sister!
At the movie with my big boy!
Sitting on the porch watching a storm roll in one evening.... being super silly!

So sweet!

We squished Cole into Ella's baby stroller and the kids raced around with him upstairs. So many laughs!!

The whole family headed out to the ballpark for Dirk's celebrity baseball game at the end of June. We had great seats, thanks to one of our neighbors, and got to see all the celebs up close. Cole, looking cute, as always.

Front row, right next to the dugout. There's Dirk, front and center.
Also, Dex Bryant, Steve Nash, Tyson Chandler, to name a few others right near us. Carter loved it!

Cole was so happy and so cooperative, even though we pushed him waaaaay past his bedtime.
Carter was given a fly ball by an umpire, caught by Steve Nash. :)
Not sure what the face is about, but Ella had to hold it too!
Just enjoying my time with all my babies.

He clapped, and clapped, and clapped. All night long! And danced a ton, too! So adorable!

Little heart throb.
Always entertained by the big kids

Watching Dirk!
He always has a death grip on all the pacis in his crib when he wakes up from nap. HA!
Coordinating their jumps at the pool!
Cute little explorer crawling around the pool area, trying to see what he can find! Check out all the butt prints all over! :)
Took the kids to the bounce house place recently with a few friends. They love the glow jump!
Cole loves this place now too, and he really gets around!

Following them up...

Poor baby got left behind.... I did take him down the slide several times in my lap, and he seemed to love it!
We laughed and laughed about this brussel sprout leaf stuck to his eye! He had no idea.
Bath time cutie...

Loving Carter's light saber

Still loves to swing!
He's a little foodie. We haven't really found anything he doesn't like.
and he loves to make a mess!
Ella finished her first week of gymnastics camp recently. She is always doing her splits, handstands, flips, cartwheels, back bends, you name it! Everything is fair game, and no place is off limits!
She loves for me to braid her hair at night after bath. We have out little routine where she sits, I braid, and we jam out to music in her bathroom. Pretty fun! And so girly!
Braids make her happy, and earn me big hugs!!
I got really brave and decided to take the boys to see a movie one morning while Ella was at gym (the $1 summer series at our local theater, it was a Night at the Museum). Cole hung out for the first 20 minutes or so, then promptly went to sleep on me, and slept the whole rest of the movie!! He woke up about 5 minutes before the end, and watched, and smiled, and clapped like it was the most magical thing ever! I knew he'd need a nap while we were there, and I was hoping for at least a 30 minute one, so he surprised me! It was perfect!
Tired before it started.
Nighty-night!
Cole got his hands on the napkins one day while he was in his chair. We laughed about this mess!
Look at this girl's split!
I sent Carter into Cole's room one day after he woke up from a nap to entertain him until I could get up there too him. I came in to Carter in Cole's bed with him. So sweet.
Eric and Ella had a date to dinner and the pool one evening, just the two of them. They both loved it!
Pretty girl out to eat with Daddy!
Cole loves Stormie. Caught him loving on her one day while she relaxed in her bed. She looks a little concerned....

Soooo sweet!! She's such a good dog.
And now she's asking me to help her do all these tricks. Here I'm assisting a back walk over. Hard work! (mostly for me, ha!)

 More handstands

Carter trying to steal the show. Can't you just hear Ella shouting, "HEEEEEY!" :/
Cole's found Stormie's crate, and he things it's hilarious!

So fun to play in the dog's water!
Carter has been doing his summer reading! He enrolled in the program through the library, and this week he completed the Mayor's Callenge of 600 minutes! He also got several prizes for milestones along the way. They were mostly little freebies, but he did 2 tickets to a Texas Legends game, and 2 tickets to an FC Dallas game, both of which he and Eric will take advantage of in a few weeks! Pretty awesome! And once he reached 600, he got to put his name on the challenge wall at the library. He's going to keep going! He's been doing great. Every day he has quiet time in his room, and he fills out his reading log each and every time. Love it! (His orange star is above the 'N')

Speaking of the library, we've been in and out several times this summer, with books and movies for the whole household! Here are the boys with their stack of books after our trip that day. Carter is reading to Cole!
Cole is enjoying splashing around in the water during an evening swim. Look how happy this makes him! He just loves it, and laughs the whole time! It's an arm workout holding that boy in the pool though, I know that!

 Just can't get enough!
