15 Months Today!

Today Carter turns 15 months old! That is CRAZY to me! We had a really good day. After nap, we went and palyed with some friends for a while and had lunch at Chick-Fil-A. After all that, we went to Half Price Books where I got so many cute new books for the little man. As you know, Carter is quite the little book worm! Look at Carter enjoying all his new books!

Also, one of his new things is throwing his head backwards and laughing when he hears anyone else laugh. I don't know where he got this, but it's so funny! This Belly Button Book has a belly button that when pushed, is a little child giggling. This might be Carter's new favorite book!

Also, today Carter wore his new Crocs for the first time, and I thought they were just adorable on him. He loved them so much, he just walked all over the house looking down at his feet. I'm pretty sure he thought he was a big shot with his cool new shoes on!

So here is what my little buddy is up to at 15 months:
  • Loves a variety of healthy foods.... especially strawberries, nectarines, yogurt, bananas, chicken, ham, green beans, pinto beans, and spaghetti. We're working on the veggies, but he is doing SO much better!!
  • Walking everywhere all the time. I see him crawl very little these days.
  • Still taking two naps a day (for the most part), a morning and afternoon nap. Not sure if he'll EVER drop that morning one permanently.... we'll see.
  • Absolutely loves being outside.... especially in the pool or at the splash park (you can tell by his little tan and bleached blonde hair!) This boy is a WATER BUG!!
  • Now has 8 teeth (4 bottom, 4 top), two of which just cut through yesterday!
  • Trying to talk up a storm. He has so many words that he says now.... and about half of these he has picked up in the last two weeks or so. He says ball, uh-oh, dog, Dada, Mama, more, book, baby, milk, juice, snack (nack), bath, thank you (taytu), hi, bye-bye, Nana, banana (also nana), ouch (ow), night night (ni ni), tete (guess who taught him this one... it WASN'T Mommy) duck, and his first sentence... What's that? (sounds like 'uhsah'). He says this mostly when pointing to things or when he hears something new.
  • Loves to carry things in his bucket or his pail. He will load up one of these with small toys and carry it all over the house.
  • Still loving his books as much as ever.
  • Can do several animal noises (dog, cat, cow, chicken, bumble bee, horse, and snake... kinda) and can point out his eyes, nose, tongue, ears, and belly button.
  • LOVES playing with is uncles, grandparents, and cousins, and of course, all his little baby friends!!
We go to the doctor next week for his check up, and I'm very curious to know all his stats. I'll definitely post all that once we go!! It's weird to think, but my little baby is definitely a full fledged toddler!!
