Thanksgiving 2014

On Friday before school got out, Carter's school held a Thanksgiving feast for all the kindergarteners, and Eric, Ella, Cole and I joined him. They sang a few cute little songs for the parents first and then enjoyed a wonderful meal with their classmates and families. Here are a couple of pictures.

Ella wasn't thrilled to have been woken up from her nap to go, but Carter shared his food with her (sweet boy!) so that made it a little better. :)

We spent Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, at John and Cindy's house. This was Cole first trip there, and he was pretty happy about it!! :)
Carter and Eric getting in the way in the kitchen.... they were ready for lunch!
Still cute though.
Showing off all her pecans that she had picked up.
They had way too much fun playing in the leaves!

Pretty sure Ella was doing a happy dance
Patiently waiting for Daddy to get that pile just perfect.
Ready, set, go!

What could he possibly be pouting about?!

Silly kiddos. Can't wait for Cole to get out there with them!
Grandpa got the blower on them.

Kids' table!
Cole was watching the Cowboys play
Enjoying the fire
Staying warm!

Friday morning the kids went for a hike. It was WINDY!!

HA! Carter....

Love all these pictures of the 2 of them, but can't help but feel kinda sad that Cole's missing. I know there are many years ahead of us that the 3 of them will do these fun things all together, and I definitely don't want to rush him growing up. But it's funny how he's only been with us 2 months, and yet things feel so incomplete if he's not included. Love that little sweet baby so much. :)
All so tired on the way home from Grandma and Grandpa's! Sign of a busy and fun Thanksgiving!
HA! Possibly rubbing it in that she's the only one awake! :)

We have so much to be Thankful for always, but especially this year! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your friends and family!

  1. Cindy and John's place is such a great place for the kiddos. Looks like GreatGrandma bonded with Cole, too. Love those shots with the leaf piles and the two having so much fun. Hope to see you thes weekend.
