Back to School Week

 Now that the dust has settled from the first week back to school, I can take a few minutes and go through our week in pictures!

Ella and I went to the pool after dropping Carter off at his first day of school. Eric happened to be working from home, so Cole stayed and napped while Ella and I squeezed in some girl time!

 Ella has recently showed a lot more interest in writing letters. She's gotten great at writing her name!

 Cole now crawls up onto the fireplace for fun!

 He was into everything in Ella's room this day.... and had to laugh when I saw how he planted his little booty right in that suitcase!

Cole wandered into Carter's room while I was cleaning up the playroom upstairs. Found him in there ON TOP of Carter's lego table. He had already pulled apart some of the sets Carter had built. And the funniest thing about it to me was that the light was off and he did all this in the dark! HA!

Ella's been begging me to make her some tea lately. I finally remembered to buy some decaf, so we had a tea time one morning..... Iced of course, we are Texans, after all!

 We sipped our iced tea and drew rainbows. :)

We met some neighborhood friends at The Coop one morning. They both loved this magnetic pipe maze on the wall!

 I put Cole in there for 5-10 minutes. I couldn't tell if he liked it or not. Lots of smiles, but also lots of fussing as he wasn't able to move very easily and buried himself quickly. Funny to watch, for sure!

We swam after school one day, and Carter and Ella played "swim lessons" for a while. I thought it was pretty cute.

She'd swim to him, he'd catch her, and send her back. Then teach her and correct her. It was actually pretty great practice for her! She's become an awesome swimmer here at the tail end of summer! Doing everything without her float!

 We have to dry out the cast well after a swim/wash. So he parked it and read library books while sitting in front of the fan.

I made it to Carter's first school assembly at the end of the week with Cole and Ella. Love the sense of community at his school! There he is in the bright green with his class :)

 Once we made it home, we played out front and enjoyed the cooler temps for a little while.

Then we went back up to the school to have lunch with Carter for the first time this year. All happy kids!!

It was nice to get Carter back into the swing of things. Second week went even smoother! And Ella goes back tomorrow! More pictures to come soon, as well as a patio update! (IT'S FINISHED!!)
