Goodbye February!

Wow. I can't believe February is already gone! We had a busy second half of the month, hence my lack of blog updates the last two weeks! Sorry!

One Sunday a few weekends ago, Mom and I had a girls' day while Eric and Carter had a boys' day! Here are a few cute pictures Eric took of their adventures that day!

Eric and my Dad had a business conference in D.C., so we all headed up there for 5 days while Carter stayed behind with his grandparents. It was a great trip for Mom and me.... we did a lot of sightseeing. Unfortunately for Eric and Dad, they were stuck at the hotel in meetings almost the whole time! Since Eric and I just went to D.C. last summer and saw all the major memorials and such, mom and I stuck to the Smithsonian, The Archives, and The U.S. Capitol. All were pretty amazing.

Michelle Obama's Inagural Ball gown
 Dorothy's slippers
 Michael Jackson's hat
Abe Lincoln's top hat... the one he was wearing the night he was assassinated.
A beautiful coral reef. Every piece of this was crochet by hand.
 Jaws of a Great White!
The famous elephant in the rotunda of the Natural History Museum!
 The Hope Diamond
 The U.S. Capitol, of course.
Inside the dome of the capitol
The U.S. Archives. This is where the Bill of Rights, The Constitution, and the Declaration of Independence are housed permanently.

Our family celebrated Matt's 30th birthday on Friday night with a hibachi dinner and a trip to a comedy club. Unfortunately I forgot my camera that night.... but we had lots of fun!

We went to the zoo with some friends today. It was a little chilly to start the day, but warmed up within the first hour, and then it was perfect! Carter really loved it, just like last time.

March is also a busy month... lots of stuff going on! Hopefully I can keep up with all our happenings, and not let two weeks pass me by again without a post!

Our Valentine's Day

I took Carter to play with friends earlier today at a Valentine's themed playdate. Carter passed out Valentines to all his buddies, and received a few of his own. He enjoyed his play time, as always!

Love this action shot of Carter jumping!

Carter and Mason got in a little tiff today over the basketball. This was about at the start of it. They are best little buddies, and always rough house, laugh at each other, and play so well together, so we got a kick out of them fighting for once!

I personally feel like Valentine's is a "hallmark" holiday, so I'm not a huge fan. We're more likely to cook a nice dinner in than go out and fight the crowd at a fancy place, and we typically skip cards/candy/chocolates/flowers all together. We acknowledge it in our own way, but don't ever do too much. Tonight we enjoyed a heart-shaped de-lite pizza from Papa Murphy's. Yummo! Best part is it was only $7!

Hope you all enjoyed your time with your loved ones this Valentine's Day!

Cowboys Stadium Tour

A few months back, I got a great deal on Cowboys Stadium tour tickets on Groupon. Eric and I have been to a few games at the new stadium, by never taken a tour. So this morning, the three of us headed over to Arlington to check it all out. We were a little disappointed that the center field star was missing, and the endzones still had the Packer's and Steeler's logos, but it was cool to see all the things that were still set up all over from the Super Bowl. There was still confetti all over the field! Carter had a ball running all over the place, and Eric and I really enjoyed the tour, and all the sights and information it had to offer. It was a great family outing!

Killing time before the tour started by enjoying the great weather outside!

Carter and I enjoying Jerry Jones' suite.
Terrible lighting in there... makes for not so great photo opts. Maybe that was his plan.
Inside the press box. That area was huge!
Carter had a blast running all over the press box.
They look like two sports writers hard at work!
Enjoying another one of Jerry's luxury suits. This is where Cameron fed A-Rod the popcorn!
Outside the Cotton Bowl offices. These are all the SEC teams.
Notice the Tennessee helmet... Eric couldn't resist this photo opt.
Carter thoroughly enjoyed the Cheerleader's locker room.... as did every other male on the tour!

Getting ready to head out onto the field!
Gigantic!
The best part for Carter... time to run and play!
 Like father, like son!
A little love for Mommy, too!
He kept saying, "Big TV!" and "Cowboys!!"
