March 5th, Snow Day #3

I never would have thought we'd be snowed in again in March! But we were. All of us I think were pretty much over the snow on this last round, but after staying in their jammies for a while inside, they did go out to play in it again, and tried to make the best of it.

This does look like a pretty perfect snow day, doesn't it? Fire on, PJs, baby napping, Daddy home, and board games. I mean, even the dog all cozied up on the couch! Perfect. (The kids were even getting along!!)

 Snow angels

 Snow man hugs
Ella really loved our first snow man we made on Saturday, and she was broken hearted when he melted. Seriously. I drove past the front of the house to show her what was left of him on Monday (nothing but a tiny snowball), and she cried real, sensitive, sad tears for her lost snowman. Boo-hooed even. Really tugged on both mine and Carter's heart strings. I told her we'd make another one next time it snowed (not knowing that would be in just a few days), and she insisted on a "girl one" next time. With a bow. Sooooo, a "girl one" is what she got on Thursday.
A very fashionable snow-woman, with her leopard print accessories! Ella loved her. (guess I forgot to take a picture of Ella with her).
Then we went inside and made snow ice cream with fresh snow, milk, sugar, and vanilla. It was more of a milk shake, but it was yummy and the kids loved it!

Thumbs up from Carter!
Later that afternoon, our neighbor friends knocked on our door with a "gift" for the kids. We bundled and headed out to see what they had for us.

It was a giant snow ball! They had rolled it all the way from their house around the corner. Actually I think this was the third or fourth one they had started. Each one before it had gotten too big to keep pushing, so they abandoned them and started again. HA! I couldn't stop laughing because Erin (their Mom) was so tired and out of breath when they finally got here, she had gotten her work out in for the day! And now, 3 days later, that giant snow ball has turned into a giant mud puddle! HA! Oops.
Anyway, the kids had a snowball fight and played a little longer. But this time it was all melting and it was pretty muddy, so we had some messy kids to clean up! But I know they had fun. :)

Hopefully this will be my final snow post of the season, as we are all ready for spring!!

Daily Life - February

Another month that's flown by! Here are pictures from February!!

Cole loves to stand up!! Look at that tiny hiney! So cute!
Cole has a baby ninja turtle.....
Love my boy!
Decisions, decisions. What color nails to have....
Cole's favorite toy right now!
Already watching TV.
Sweet boy about to be layed down in his crib.
Love that he'll still sleep anywhere....

Loving the excersaucer now!
We've let Carter practice typing a little on the computer. Of course, he thinks it's awesome.
Love my girl!
Ella playing with Grace, and she got some big smiles!
Yum.
Carter was invited to a friends party at a rock climbing place. It wasn't exactly my little non-adventerous guy's cup of tea, but that's ok. He at least tried it.... even if he didn't get more than 3 feet off the ground. ;)
Sweet boy. Hope I can snuggle him like this for a long time!
Baby wolf!
Carter loves to read to Cole, and Cole loves to try and get his book.

....and sometimes eat it. :)
We went to dinner with the Hornback's to celebrate Amy's birthday. These girls are cute!
Guy time doing legos at Nana's house.

Cole obviously adores them both :)
Oh boy, that smile!
So much cuteness, day in, day out with this one!
She watches the TV, he watches her :)
Prettiest girl in the world....

Love!
We like to goof around :)
Just got her nails done!
A few from my good camera.....
Favorite toy at this stage, the giraffe!
Handsome boy!

Typical cold and rainy morning.....
:)

Carter LOVES to draw and write and just being creative in general.
Ella does too, and she's learning a lot by watching Carter. She draws the cutest little people now... one circle, two legs, and a smiley face. love it! :) Also, she drew a swimming pool at the bottom there.
More Star Wars art by Carter.
Love these next few pictures so much. Truly captures how much they all adore each other.
Just about too big for her to hold him :(

Ella loves to read to Cole too.
He has found his feet!!
And it's so very adorable.
Cole in the bouncy seat while I get ready in the bathroom. Obviously something behind him was just too interesting.
Looks so not comfortable. But he sat like this for the longest time!

More toe-grabbing cuteness

Waiting while Ella does her gymnastics class
She's getting so good! Love watching her each week! She just moved up to another level class, and should be ready to move to the 4-5 year old class by the summer!!

Cutie.
Cole has started wanting to hold his evening bottle on his own. Big boy!
I mean, so adorable!
Eric traveled several nights at the end of February, so I was flying solo on evening duty. The kids reading books while I give Cole his bottle and rock him.... this became our nightly routine.
Carter read the entire Toy Story 1 book with minimal help! SO proud of him!

February was the month of crazy weather and cabin fever! Fun times, but I'm looking forward to improvement in this area in March!
