Here is a look at week 9 pictures!
Loved Carter's playdoh creation this week.
Workin' hard......
Got her some new fall boots, so we gave them a try!
So cute!
Cole is standing up on his own now non-stop! He has taken a few steps, by accident I'm sure, but he loves to stand and thinks it's so funny when we cheer him on. He knows he's a big boy!
Typical morning after breakfast.
Climbed up in this chair and rocked himself.
Puzzles and mess makin'
We went to lunch with Grandma this week, and had frozen yogurt after.
A hit for everyone!
Including Cole!
Weekly library visit. They love it!
We've gotten smart and now go after dinner, and there is hardly anyone there. Going tonight as a matter of fact!
Ella put one of her old headbands on Cole's head. We all laughed and laughed.... he didn't even know it was there and wore it for half an hour!
Big boy!!
We met my friend Emily and her daughter at a splash park.
It was an awesome place!
Everyone had a blast, but boy, was it hot!!
Cole crawled around the splash pad for the first time....
He liked parts of it, like this mister area, where it was refreshing and not too direct.
He wasn't a fan of the direct sprays though. He got on a few nozzles on the ground and that upset him. HA!
But he did his bear crawl all over that place!
And some standing, too!
We were all TIRED at the end of that outing!
We finally got our patio project underway this week. It's been in the works for almost 2 months now, and we're so excited to have it completed just in time to enjoy it this fall! Here is the end of day 1: beems are up!
Cole is now getting into cabinets and drawers like crazy. Eric hadn't got around to putting the latches on yet, so I used a rubber band temporarily to keep them closed. Didn't take Cole long to figure this out, and I caught him tampering with the rubber band one morning. What a smart little toot!
Caught!
Since we are about to have a little walker on our hands, I got Cole some new kicks! He loved playing with them and their packaging!
Sweet napping baby!
Again, into it all!
Emptying drawers left and right!
Summer is LONG and HARD!!! We've hit a rough patch with Carter and some of his behavior lately. I had completely had enough one day, and couldn't think of any other punishment than, "You sit up here and write me sentences!!" Oh my goodness, now it's funny to me, but I was SO angry with that child at the time. I found this on his desk the next day and had to giggle.
Wearing his new shoes for the first time!
It must be so odd to wear shoes when you really haven't ever before. I can think of about 3-4 times (when he was maybe 2 months old) that he has actually worn shoes. Since then, no way he'd keep any on.
He liked them at first, as seen above, but then seemed a little annoyed by them and did a lot of grabbing at them, and even trying to bite them! HA!
But then he got over himself, and wore them on our errands without complaint. (He's not strapped in in this picture, but it wouldn't matter! Those kind of straps do NOTING for this age to keep them still, sitting, or confined to a shopping cart. He turns around and stands up no matter what!)
He's spent a lot of time at this window watching his new friends the last few days!
(So have Carter and Ella for that matter, ha!)
Playing peek-a-boo in the curtains!
Love afternoon quiet time!
This was the progress at the end of day 3! Loving the shade we're already getting in the mornings in the living room, and it's less than halfway covered at this point!
First Braum's trip for this guy.....
....and first lick of an ice cream cone :)
We sold our couches, and have the new stuff coming this week, so we're pretty empty in the living room. It's actually been kind of fun with no furniture in there the last few days, for all of us!
Evening water hose fun!
At one point, Carter even said, "I'm cold!" (It was 104 out, ha!)
Love!
It's raining!
That's all for last week! Can't wait to watch the progress of our patio, and get our new furniture this week!!

Exciting times with the new patio and furniture! And those beautiful kiddos just are such fun to 'watch' from afar! Carter's hand writing is amazing.
